Classes for Adults and Teens
Drawing from the Very Beginning
Tuesdays, October 2 to November 13
This is an introductory class for those who claim they can’t even draw a straight line! Working initially from still-life arrangement and progressing to nude figure studies in the last classes, students will learn to draw what they see in charcoal, ink, and pencil. Students must be 16 or older. Class cost includes model fee.
Saturdays, September 20 to November 8
9:30 am-12:10 pm
Fee of $180
This course will teach you to draw the figure working from a professional model. With an emphasis on light and shadow, learn to use negative shapes, visual measuring tools, hidden alignments, proportions and other techniques to capture the figure. Open to ages 16 and up.
Saturdays, October 11 to November 15
Fee of $120
In this course, students will explore and unlock the sensitive interactions of color’s three dimensions—huge, value, and saturation. Students will experiment with color mixing, application and paring to create depth in space.
