Students in this course will create their own worlds by learning and employing various techniques across disciplines. The instructor will lead students in analyzing environments in popular games like The Legend of Zelda, Fortnite, and others before beginning their own creation process. Students will come up with a basic idea for their video game, create sketches and mood boards, and then render a digital graphic with Adobe programs. This course focuses on how to successfully determine and create the style and feel of a game and its environment before it is fully developed. Teenagers who are interested in art direction, animation, digital illustration, graphic design, game design, or any career involving storytelling will find this course to be valuable.
