Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

The annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition initiative for creative students (grades 7-12) and the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers. The Art Academy of Cincinnati (AAC) is producing the Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards of Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana on our urban campus in historic Over-the-Rhine.

  • Art & Writing Submissions Deadline (portal closes): Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:59 PM

  • Judging Timeline
    • Art submissions: December 8–December 12, 2025
    • Writing submissions: December 5, 2025–January 2, 2026
  • Regional Awards Announcement: Friday, January 16, 2026
  • Exhibition at the Art Academy of Cincinnati: February 6–February 22, 2026
    • SAVE THE DATE: Exhibition Opening Reception: Friday, February 6, 2026 5–8pm
  • Art Work Drop-Off
    • Tuesday – Friday, January 20th – 23rd, 2026 from 1 pm – 4 pm
    • Saturday, January 24th, 2026 from 10 am – 2 pm.
  • Exhibition Opening
    • Friday, February 6th, 2026 from 5 pm – 8:00 pm
  • AAC Open House & Scholastic Exhibition
