CINCINNATI, OH — VISION FIELDS 2026 is here. Art Academy of Cincinnati’s (AAC) annual film festival returns for its sixth year, bringing an evening of bold, boundary-pushing short films to the historic Woodward Theater.
Organized by AAC Digital Arts Animation Department, Vision Fields Film Festival celebrates time-based media across genres including animation, narrative, experimental, and non-fiction. The screening highlights original short films created by current students, faculty, and alumni—showcasing the depth, innovation, and creative range of the college’s film and digital arts community.
This year marks the festival’s first screening at the Woodward Theater, offering a dynamic cinematic setting in the heart of Over-the-Rhine. The event is free and open to the public, welcoming audiences of all ages to experience new moving-image work emerging from Cincinnati’s vibrant arts scene.
Call for Submissions
Submissions for Vision Fields 2026 are open through March 25, 2026.
Student, faculty, and alumni filmmakers are encouraged to submit original short films for consideration. Multiple works may be submitted; however, due to program time constraints, not all submissions may be screened.
Technical Guidelines:
Accepted format: .mp4
Audio levels should be adjusted to -6 dBFS to -3 dBFS
Include title and artist name in file name
(Example: First_Last_Title.mp4)Generative AI art films will not be considered
