Pre-Event Check-In begins at 10:30 am – Registration is required.
YOU BELONG HERE. (YES, YOU.)
There’s a difference between making art and building a life around it.
At the Art Academy of Cincinnati, you’ll have the space to develop your ideas, strengthen your practice, take creative risks, and discover where your work can take you. Open House is your opportunity to step inside AAC, see the work happening here, and meet the people you could be learning and making alongside.
WHAT TO EXPECT
ADMISSIONS PRESENTATION + OPEN Q&A
Start with the big picture. Learn about AAC, our programs, the application process, scholarships and financial aid—and bring your questions. We’ll give you the information you need to understand what applying to and attending AAC actually looks like.
EXPLORE AAC
Get into the spaces where the work happens. Explore studios, classrooms, galleries, and student spaces throughout campus and see what students are making across disciplines.
MEET FACULTY + CURRENT STUDENTS
Meet the artists, designers, and writers who teach here—and the students doing the work now. Ask about majors, classes, critiques, studio life, Cincinnati, and what happens after AAC.
PORTFOLIO REVIEWS
Bring your work and have a real conversation about it. A one-on-one Portfolio Review gives you direct, personalized feedback on what you’re making, what you’re exploring, and where you can push your work next.
Already thinking about applying? Your Open House Portfolio Review can fulfill the portfolio review portion of your AAC application.
AND THERE’S MORE: WHAM! BAM! SLAM!
Open House happens alongside WHAM! BAM! SLAM! – AAC’s inaugural Comic Expo & Artist Alley—bringing professional artists, publishers, collectors, students, and comics fans together across campus.
Explore original work, meet working artists, visit exhibitions throughout our galleries, and see AAC Illustration students exhibiting and selling their work alongside established professionals.
It’s also a chance to experience AAC on a day when the studios and galleries aren’t simply open for visitors—they’re active, full of work, conversation, and exchange.
Come see the work. Meet the people. Explore what you could make here.
Registration is required for Open House. Reserve your place today.
