Experience the process of film photography from start to finish in this course. Students learn to shoot, process, and print their own black and white film while gaining a deep understanding of light and exposure. This course combines technical instruction with an artistic exploration of image-making. Participants spend time both behind the camera and in the darkroom, where they learn to create expressive prints. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in slowing down and rediscovering the tactile nature of the photographic image.
Required Materials: A Kodak M35 Film Camera, three rolls of 35 mm 400 ISO black & white film, 5×7″ black & white darkroom paper with Pearl finish, and a AAA battery. All chemicals are provided as well as other materials.
