This course combines the artistic disciplines of bookbinding and printmaking. Students will learn how to bind their own books using various techniques and practice the art of typography as they create a journal or sketchbook from beginning to end. Students will not only learn about different typefaces and the importance of typography accompanying books and other art forms, but they will also explore digital and traditional typography methods including letterpress printing.
