Community: Drawing Everyday Environments

Tuesdays
6:30-8:30 PM (1212 Jackson St., Cincinnati, OH 45202)
Capture the beauty of everyday environments in drawn media!

This drawing course has a special focus on the beauty of everyday environments and how to capture it in drawn media. Students will learn important aspects of drawing indoor and outdoor environments such as proportion and perspective as well as light and shadow. With guidance and feedback from their instructor, students will participate in practices alongside their peers while also working on their own original artwork. By the end of this course, students will have gained new skills and will have drawn sketches to take home with them.

This course is for adults and teens of all skill levels. Students between the age of 13 and 17 must be registered to take the course with a parent or guardian and must be accompanied by the parent or guardian at each session. The guardian must also sign a Blanket Authorization Form. This will be sent in an email a week before the course begins and must be completed before the first session.

Required Materials: A basic drawing set, an art portfolio or other carrying case, and an 18″ x 24″ sketch pad. You do not have to purchase the exact products nor from the same site in the linked examples, but they are examples of good, affordable options. The Art Academy of Cincinnati is not sponsored by Amazon nor Blick Art Materials.
