Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

The annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition initiative for creative students (grades 7-12) and the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers. The Art Academy of Cincinnati (AAC) is producing the Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards of Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana on our urban campus in historic Over-the-Rhine.

2024-2025 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Information

Portal available and submissions for art and writing entries now open on artandwriting.org

  • Art & Writing Submissions deadline, portal closes: Sunday, December 1, 2024

  • Judging Timeline
    • Art submissions: December 9-December 13, 2024
    • Writing submissions: December 6, 2024-January 6, 2024
  • Regional Awards Announcement: Friday, January 17, 2025
  • Exhibition at the Art Academy of Cincinnati: February 7 – February 16, 2025
    • SAVE THE DATE: Exhibition Opening Reception: Friday, February 7, 2025 5pm-8pm
    • More information will be delivered about the exhibition (installation, opening reception, deinstallation, etc.) to all awarded students and their educators following the Regional Awards Announcement on Friday, January 17, 2025.
