Austin Favreau –

Austin Favreau is a design major with a minor in illustration and printmaking. His work is print-based and focuses on distortion, obstruction, and fear. Using design theory, he creates compositions consisting of bitmapped photographs taken by him, screen-printed with metallic inks. His interests include video games, horror movies, metal music, and playing his guitar. His artistic inspirations include Sam Spratt, Caravaggio, Durer, Black Sabbath, Sleep, and Pantera. Music is a driving force in his creative process, using the sound to influence his compositions and subject matter. He finds catharsis in the encapsulating nature of metal, both in its sound and lyrical content, and attempts to channel those emotional responses into his pieces.

Dylan Grubish –

Dylan Grubish is a graphic designer and illustrator attending the Art Academy of Cincinnati. He is currently in the process of getting a Bachelors of Fine Art in Design at the AAC. His thesis revolves around educational tools to help spread awareness to younger generations about animal conservation, and what they can do to help. Dylan’s future plans involve expanding the body of work for his thesis after graduation, with the hopes of reaching a large audience of young people who’d like to see a change in the importance of conservation in schools systems and curriculum.
