Art in Bloom

The theme for Art in Bloom 2019 is LIGHT!

Over four days, experience the beauty of glorious fresh flowers paired with the Cincinnati Art Museum’s fine art collection. Take part in many and varied special events, family-friendly activities, docent-led tours, plus conversations and demonstrations by curators and floral arrangers.

Susan Carlson ~ Community Education Student
Painting on Saturday, October 19th.
Susan is an artist currently working with acrylic paint. She has studied drawing and painting through the School of Design, Art, and Architecture of the University of Cincinnati Evening and Continuing Education, and pastels and painting at the Art Academy of Cincinnati with Cranford Campbell and Ken Buck.

Brad Davis ~ Alumnus Artist in Residency

“Brad Davis is a painter from Cincinnati, whose work primarily focuses on hi-lighting overlooked areas of character and history in the Cincinnati area. Davis received his BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He currently teaches in the school of design at the University of Cincinnati and is a resident instructor at Manifest Drawing Center. This semester Davis is an artist in residence at the Art Academy of Cincinnati.”

Claire Flath ~ BFA Student
Painting on Sunday, October 20th.
I’m a senior at the Art Academy with a major in Painting & Drawing and a minor in Graphic Design. I dedicate my lush oil paintings to a variety of flora and fauna in our world. I practice traditional styles and techniques while my subject matter is more contemporary and inspired by graphic design.
