2022 Graduation Ceremony

The Art Academy of Cincinnati is proud to announce its 153rd graduating class.
Chicago artist and educator Jen Delos Reyes will be the speaker for the Art Academy of Cincinnati’s graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 15, 11AM at Memorial Hall.
Delos Reyes is the associate director of the School of Art & Art History at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she works to promote arts education access at the city’s Land-Grant institution and only public research university. She lives at SIDE by SIDE, a residency for BIPOC arts and culture leaders, where she cultivates the onsite CSAA program that supports the project. Delos Reyes describes herself as defiantly optimistic, a friend to all birds, and a proponent that institutions can become tender and vulnerable.
A post-ceremony reception and champagne toast, open to the public, will be held at Site1212, 1212 Jackson St., from 12 to 2 p.m.
Masks for the ceremony are optional. Masks will be provided at the entrance for those who wish to wear one.
Parking for the event is available in the Washington Park Garage or in the lot adjacent to Memorial Hall.
The Who concert at TQL Stadium is at 6:30 p.m. that evening, so plan accordingly for with for post-reception dining in Over-the-Rhine.
The Art Academy of Cincinnati has a rich heritage of more than 150 years of great art and great art instruction. Among the school’s distinguished alumni are Petah Coyne, Frank Duveneck, Charley Harper. Elizabeth Nourse, Ruthe Katherine Pearlman, Tony Tasset, and Tom Wessleman. The Art Academy continues to provide personalized attention to students and to touch Cincinnatians’ lives through community education programming. This private not-for-profit institution of higher education is an anchor for the creative artistic community in a vibrant and growing arts district.
