Art Academy Professor Teaches the Ancient Art of Buon Fresco

While embracing the new, there is a lot to be said for invigorating the traditional. Art Academy Professor Constance McClure’s fresco class recently gained the attention of Artists Magazine.

Learning the art of fresco isn’t something you can do by watching tutorials on Youtube — a novice must work with an experienced fresco painter. This can be particularly changeling in the Digital Age. Luckily the Art Academy’s cutting-edge education embraces the past while ushering in the new. Last summer Professor Constance McClure worked with then sophomore Katelyn Wolary taking her wing as an apprentice to learn the rigorous process.
