Art Academy of Cincinnati Hires Vice President of Institutional Advancement

The Art Academy of Cincinnati announces that Joan Kaup has joined their leadership team as Vice President for Institutional Advancement. In this role, Kaup will manage the Development Office, the Office of External Relations, and the Department of Community Education.

“The Art Academy of Cincinnati is dedicated to the excellence of the art education experience for our students. We welcome Joan’s experience and knowledge to advance our mission”, said John Sullivan, president of the Art Academy of Cincinnati.

“I can’t think of a better place to be right now. The Art Academy of Cincinnati was a pioneer in the renaissance of Over-the-Rhine. Their commitment to the community and their students is admirable. I feel fortunate to be given the opportunity to tell their story,” said Kaup.

Kaup most recently served as the founding executive director of Social Venture Partners. She has held the position of vice president of marketing for Downtown Cincinnati Incorporated and vice president of tourism for the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau. She serves on the OTR Community Council and has served on the OTR Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations. She holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Xavier and a BS in Marketing (cum laude) from UC. She is an alumna of Leadership Cincinnati,  Class XXII.
