I graduated from Wittenburg University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I intended to be an illustrator but life got in the way! I did a lot of creative things over the years...floral design and window display to name a few. I had seen some mosaics and was intrigued so in 2002 I took a mosaic class at the Art Academy. My tile knippers and I have been inseparable ever since! I
learned a lot through trial and error and wanted to share my experiences so I have offered mosaic classes in my studio for the past three years. Besides learning mosaic mechanics at the Art Academy class ,I made a wonderful new friend, Barb Coe. We continued to meet after the classes ended to encourage one another. For the past 5 years, Barb and I have taught mosaics in the Community Ed program at Turpin Hills High School. We are excited about teaching mosaics together at the Art Academy this fall...back where it all started! Several years ago, I decided to apply to art shows. I have exhibited at the Hyde Park Art Show for the past three years and am planning to apply to more shows in 2013."
