Summer Portfolio Preparation Program
Portfolio Preparation is intended for high school juniors, seniors and recent graduates who are preparing for a college level art program. The Portfolio Preparation program is designed for the independent young students to strengthen their portfolios while introducing them to career choices in the visual arts.
AAC's Portfolio Prep students get exposure to a variety of media and new practices as AAC faculty lead Studio art classes that include Animation, Design, Drawing, Film/Video, Illustration, Painting, Photography, Print Media and Sculpture.
Students create and enjoy the college atmosphere as they work together in on-site studio spaces, take gallery and studio tours, and get workplace exposure. The course culminates in a final portfolio review with the AAC Admissions team.
The program provides the option for students to commute to and from campus, or for residential accommodations during the 3-week program in June or July, to create a versatile and fully immersive experience of the AAC's urban campus.
