Community Education
Everyone’s an Artist
E
very year, nearly 2,000 people of all ages study art through AAC’s Community Education program. Courses are affordable and open to all; we have classes for people of every skill level, from beginners to accomplished artists. Subjects run the gamut from standard disciplines such as painting, sculpture, and photography to hard-to-find offerings like glassblowing, bookbinding, and comic book art. Our programs include:
- Summer Portfolio Preparation: an intensive three- or six-week course that helps high-school artists get their work ready for college application.
- Art for Kids: Saturday art classes during the school year for kids aged 5 through 12.
- Camp Art Academy: six separate one-week camps from June through July.
- Adult/teen instruction: Courses are available for everyone from beginners to experienced artists in drawing, ceramics, photography, painting, sculpture, and more.
- Community Outreach programs: Working to bring art to Cincinnati's neighborhoods and schools.
