Passion.
It’s what art is all about. It’s what teaching is all about. It’s what we’re all about.
The Master of Arts in Art Education (MAAE) program gives licensed teachers an opportunity to break old habits, try new solutions, and reinvigorate their art and their classroom practice. Built around an intensive, personalized studio experience, the MAAE challenges participants to get outside their comfort zone and generate fresh ideas for themselves and their students. You’ll learn new ways to make art—and, just as important, new ways of relating as a teacher.
To accommodate the schedule of working teachers, MAAE courses and studio work is conducted during the summer. The Summer 2009 session runs from June 8 through July 31. The degree requires 33 credits and can be completed in three to five years.
