Untitled (the actual title in parentheses)

Today we had our first seminar at the NYSRP which was a professional practice seminar with Artist Meghann Snow. It is a new seminar they added to the program, so they are basically testing it out on us which is pretty cool. We will be learning about networking with galleries and other artists, getting our names out there, how to write proposals and statements, how to write off supplies and artistic expenses on our taxes, and how to work with a gallery on pricing our work, and I’m sure many other important art-world buisness aspects. Im excited to start our other seminars this week, it’s starting to feel like

In other news: I have gotten lost in the city multiple times, every time I hear a song from High Violet by the National it makes me miss my family, I have eaten more incredible food (rosemary nacho frenchfries, Cheeseburger with gruyere cheese and a fried egg, etc.), and am currently working on 5 different paintings. Also, it really bugs me when artists title their work “Untitled” but then put a title in parentheses right next to it. THATS THE TITLE SO JUST USE IT, or just leave it at “untitled” and call it a day. Anyway….

Here is my studio and a little peak at the paintings I’ve been working on. More to come…

Peace
