However, when you live downtown without a car the weather becomes a very important thing. Even more so when the people you live with decide tonight of all nights is the night to go grocery shopping.
And let me tell you, this is more than a drizzle.
When you need food though, you need food. I am trying to go the rest of the year without eating out, plus we were out of milk, sugar and eggs. So, I really needed to stock up. Stocking up however, means big bags of pasta, rice, ramen and frozen chicken wings. That and a gallon of milk is not fun to carry back five blocks in the rain. At least I was not poor Sarah who was stuck with the eggs. Don’t worry, they all survived the voyage.
Tonight after I wash all the rain water out of my hair I am making a big vat of pasta sauce to get me through the end of the year. With being gone the next couple of weekends, there should not be the temptation to eat out. Hopefully. There is a lot of commuting approaching on my calender and I really need to save the money for gas. You never know with my friends, though, a celebratory end of the year trip to Mr. Sushi won’t surprise me. At least if I stray I can eat the leftovers.
