I have just finished my first session of fast painting/drawing class of the Community Education Center today. Actually I am the only AAC student there! and the youngest one! The rest of students there are 40-50 years old.It is one of the reasons that I like this class because it gives me the feeling of being still young! 
At the AAC’s formal classes usually I am the oldest student ( of course there are some exceptions!) and feel like I am getting old ( I am 25 and the majority of students are between 18 to 21 ). I am just kidding….:) I like CEC classes because there is always nude model and it is a great opportunity to have access to nude models without spending money! ( actually it just costs $20 AAC’s students, they offer a giant discount, don’t they?). Although it maybe seems repetitive to do some stuff in these classes ( they start from the very beginning level), you can really take advantage of them. I believe there is always something to learn in every class, no matter how professional you are – or you think you are . Also it is great to meet the ordinary Cincinnatian people at a drawing class and make some new friends ( OK! make some old new friends!) As you know we have Figure Drawing classes during the Drawing II & III ( I am not quit sure about Drawing I), but figure drawing is something that the more you do, the better! and if you can draw a figure properly, you would draw everything!
It is not the only class of CEC I participate. Another one is called Pastel Figure Drawing – or something like that! I have a terrible memory in terms of the names and titles! maybe Alzheimer?! - which is wonderful. It is running by a lovely old lady ( name? I am sorry!) who is really know what to do. That one is holding on Saturdays morning ( 10 am). I am going to take advantage of the most possible amount of drawing classes which AAC offers.
Besides, at Fridays – tomorrow – AAC has another Figure Drawing class which is free and open to all students! It is called Julio’s class! you definitely know him. He is the monitor of that class and arranges the model and this kind of stuff. I really like this guy – maybe I have to write a blog about him in future – There will be no teacher in this class, so you go and draw in person and no teacher! It is the class we are supposed to learn from ourselves and each others. I can not wait for that anymore. three hours drawing from a model. Can you imagine anything better than this?……really? you can? what is that?
