So, Paige, my color theory teacher is doing this show up at the University of Michigan so my last class was cancelled, so my weekend officially begins now, three hours early.
…and, of course, I will probably not get anything I need to get done during this free time. I’ll enjoy the day.
This is going to be a pretty work heavy weekend anyways. I have two reports due for color theory, my anti-self portrait, minumentals, and the promotional video to work on, but hey, it’s art. Plus, I think we finally have an idea down for the video. I could be be having to balance equations or something like that.
Just got out of Art History. We watched a rather eccentric, yet nonetheless exciting, movie on the Arnolfini Portrait. I love learning about this piece, even though this is about the third time it has been presented to me in school. Every time it is presented under a new theory. I just love all the detail and the mysticism of Jan van Eyck’s piece.
As I look over the top of my computer I am realizing just how messy our dorm room is. Our hopes of saving the world through our attempt to recycle is scattered in semi-sorted boxes across the living room. Our Christmas tree is still up. Katie’s suitcase is still unpacked, but that is college life for you. At least the dishes are done. We are improving. It is one of the burdens of having such a large dorm room, you have so much more room to spread out your mess.
Now all I have to do is wait for everyone else to get out of class, then the fun starts. Until then, I have cleaning to do.
