Drawing class at “Cincinnati Ballet”

My drawing III teacher, Rebecca Nava, really likes to encourage her students to try different things during her drawing class such as different materials, techniques, and places which is so fun! ( it could be more fun if that class was in the evening rather than 8:30 at the morning! At that time, you have to be in your bed  not class!)

So far, we have been in the “Spring Grove Cemetery”  (2 sessions) and the “Cincinnati Ballet” for drawing. I definitely will write about those two  classes at Spring Grove Cemetery soon because that was not an ordinary place at all. But now I am going to talk about CB. The first session of drawing at CB took place this Monday and we are supposed to meet each other tomorrow for the second time in the CB’s lobby. I have always  loved classic music but never had opportunity to watch a real ballet in person. So you probably can imagine how wonderful that session was. However, it was morning!

As usual, I arrived late in class which was in CB! So I started to draw as soon as  I prepared my materials. Other students had already started their drawings. It is not as easy as it seems. The first problem is that you have to be aware that you are there for drawing not watching the incredible performance of those [....] ballet dancers who are really good! really really good! And also great music! I am not satisfied by the drawings that I did that day, but I enjoyed every minute of being there. I know what should I do tomorrow there. Just remember the Golden Rule: ” do not let them defeat you with their miraculous dance performance!”
