"Ruthe G Pearlman: Master Drawings of the Figure"

The Art Academy of Cincinnati has invited alumna, artist and friend Ruthe Pearlman to exhibit her collection of figure drawings in the Ruthe G. Pearlman gallery. Pearlman’s drawings range from whimsical to meditative, as her fluid style captures the essence of the nude figure. Her drawings are composed of gestural and powerful lines in bold ink and wash. Reclining nudes and seated figures fill the exhibit, some in warm tones of soft conte’ crayon. Ruthe, a graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati began her first classes at theAcademy in 1929, and has been teaching at the Art Academy in the Community Education department since 1979. She was awarded a Doctor of Fine Arts by the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 2002.
