The Art Academy of Cincinnati is pleased to announce that Noel Maghathe and Tiffany Tran are the recipients of the 2017 Stephen H. Wilder Traveling Award.

This was an extremely competitive year with ten applicants submitting work for consideration. Within the upcoming year, Noel Maghathe will pursue performance work in Palestine, and Tiffany Tran will travel to Vietnam to explore themes of identity as an extension to her current body of work.

The Stephen H. Wilder Traveling Award is a juried prize given to competing senior students with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Graduating seniors must submit a proposal of how this travel award will impact their practice and research, along with assembling a budget and portfolio of current work. The Art Academy faculty cast a blind vote for all portfolios worthy of the award, and the winners with the highest votes are selected. It is a prestigious honor to aid our best graduating seniors in furthering their artistic practice as they enter the post-graduate world.
