New York Studio Residency Program
The Art Academy of Cincinnati as a charter member of AICAD, actively participates in the consortium's New York Studio Residency Program. Each year, two Art Academy students head to New York City for a semester. The students earn 15 credits, get plenty of studio time, and immerse themselves in one of the world’s largest and most vibrant art communities.
Students apply to participate during their sophomore year, and AAC’s full-time faculty evaluate the applications and choose the recipient(s) of this honor. The semester in New York takes place during the third year.
Only 2 students may attend during an academic year. (AICAD restrictions)

"So, if I recommend this experience to anyone, I do so with gusto. If you dont think you are cut out for it, you probably need it more than any of your peers. If you are an artist in any sense of the word, you have an inherent desire to make your life's experience synonynomous with your creative process. There is no better setting to live breathe and think art than New York City. "
- Matilda Paulin, AAC class of 2011
