CINCINNATI, OH – The Art Academy of Cincinnati welcomes alumnus Eric Ruschman, who brings to the Convergys Gallery, Jenny from the Color Block. The exhibition invites viewers to experience color as a force that sparks alertness, commands attention, propels action, and even triggers a state of alarm. In the curator's words, “All that's needed to issue a state of alarm is to know the coordinating color code: Amber Alert. Code Orange. Code Red...Pop goes the world. Minimalism goes the world. Monochrome goes the world.” Sculptors and painters arouse a spectrum of emotive responses through 2D and 3D works rendered in bright, brisk, bold color. Jenny from the Color Block opens in the Convergys Gallery on November 11, 2016 with a reception from 5-8pm and runs through December 18. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
