Every year, nearly 1,200 people of all ages study art through AAC’s Community Education program. Courses are affordable and open to all; we have classes for people of every skill level, from beginners to accomplished artists. Subjects run the gamut from standard disciplines such as drawing, communication arts and design, painting, sculpture, and photography, to hard-to-find offerings like woodworking, bookbinding, fashion, fiber arts, and comic book art . Our programs include:

  • Adult/teen instruction: Courses are available for everyone from beginners to experienced artists in drawing, painting, photography,sculpture, and more.
  • Children & Teens: Art for Kids, Camp Art Academy ages 5 to 12, Teen Studios ages 13-18, have fun and learn foundations in visual arts.
  • Summer Portfolio Preparation: Residential & Commuter program. An intensive 4-week course that helps high-school artists get their work ready for college application.
