Greg Albert is an artist, teacher, writer and editor. He is a graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati and has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in drawing and painting and a Master’s in art history. He has taught drawing, painting and a variety of topics in art history at the Art Academy, Miami University, and Thomas More College. Greg has been an instructor in the Art Academy’s Community Education program since 1979. Greg had a 17-year career with North Light Books here in Cincinnati and was the Editorial Director of North Light’s fine art, craft, and decorative painting books. While with North Light he authored two art instruction books: DRAWING YOU CAN DO IT and THE SIMPLE SECRET OF BETTER PAINTING. Greg has been the preliminary judge for the Artist’s Magazine’s annual contest for over ten years and has presented workshops and juried shows for many local and regional art groups. He makes a point of drawing at least 15 minutes every day no matter what. His motto is “Never do nothing every day.”
