 Art Academy for Teens 

Portfolio Preparation Summer Program| Residential or Commuter Options 
Portfolio Preparation is intended for high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who are preparing for a college-level art program. The Portfolio Preparation program is designed for independent young students to strengthen their portfolios while introducing them to career choices in the visual arts.

Program Dates & Times                                                                   

July 6: Move-in day for residential students
July 8-26: Class

Classes are held 9 a.m. to 4p.m. daily, with some lectures and field trips in the evening. 

Program Costs
Commuter: $625 / Residential: $1,100

Deposit due at time of registration: $100 for commuter students, $275 for residential students. 
Balance due by first day of class.

 Summer Weekly Teen Studios!
These classes are designed to give teens 13 – 18 years old a foundation in a variety of visual arts disciplines such as drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, screenprinting, animation and cartooning. Each class is progressive, but also allows students to begin at the level they feel comfortable. The classes are offered by the week in half-day sessions to provide flexibility to students and parents. While Community Education offers classes specifically for teens, teens can also take any class in the Adult/Teen programming.
