The Art Academy of Cincinnati is pleased to present the work of 33 promising young artists from Lakota East High School and Lakota West High School. The exhibition features 38 artworks by seniors whose work represents various media including graphite, pastels, acrylic paints, ceramics, charcoal, India ink, watercolor and other media. "East Meets West" is the first professional juried exhibition that the seniors have experienced, and it is a gateway to the process of participating in competitive exhibitions and having onsite professional critiques by practicing artists.

During a presentation at 6:00 pm on Friday, November 18, 2011, Jurors Art Academy Professor Claire Darley and Associate Director of Enrollment Management Joe Fisher will share remarks about the jurying process. The artists' reception last from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on November 18.
 

The exhibition is on view the Convergys Gallery at the Art Academy. The exhibition and reception are Free and Open to the Public.
