High School Art Card Exhibition

The Art Academy of Cincinnati announces the opening of the High School Art Card Exhibition this Friday, November 19, 2010 in Convergys Gallery.  The exhibition  is made up of over 700 art card entries created by high school art students from the local tri-state region as well as from other states and regions. High school juniors and seniors were invited to create an art piece on a 4x5 1/2  blank card and submit it for the exhibition. They were instructed to paint, draw, print onto, doodle, collage, transfer, or virtually try any approach as long as the card remained somewhat two dimensional in format.

Three art card entries were chosen to receive a $100 art supply gift certificate and the winners were announced at the opening reception on Friday, November 19th at 6 Additional Honorable Mention awards were also given. Jurors for the High School Art Card Exhibition were Keith Linton (visiting artist) and Constance McClure (professor emerita at the Art Academy) and Chris Hennig
(admissions representative).

**GENERAL INFORMATION**

Convergys Gallery is located on the first level of the North Building at 1212 Jackson Street across from the Kroger Parking Garage. All exhibitions are free and open to the public. Hours are 9-9 Monday through Friday and 9-5 on Weekends. Building Closed on November 25.  513.562.6262.
