J. Todd Anderson has been involved in over three dozen major motion pictures. He has been the storyboard artist for most of them, working extensively with the highly successful Coen Brothers. Anderson has even appeared on camera in several of the films. He currently has four films in post-production, and now he is sharing his talent and expertise with the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
On September 16, 2010, at 6:30 pm, the Art Academy will present a lecture and demonstration by Anderson at the college’s Jackson Street campus. The artist will focus on his work on the films, “The Big Lebowski” and “No Country For Old Men.”
From September 16 – October 15, 2010 the Art Academy’s Convergys Gallery will show a series of the storyboards created for those two movies.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for our students, particularly the illustration majors, to see a professional describe his real-world process,” said Mark Thomas, Chair of the Communication Arts Department.
“A while ago, at an Art Academy reception, I noticed J. Todd talking to two of our undergrads. They were absolutely captivated by him,” remarked Nancy Glier, Vice President of Finance and Operations at the Art Academy. “I approached him with the idea of a show and lecture on campus, and now two years later it is happening.”
J. Todd Anderson will also work with students in various classes that week.
There will be a “Big Lebowski” themed reception before and after Anderson’s talk featuring faux “In-N-Out Burgers,” White Russians (Caucasians) and music from the sound track but no Eagles! The Lebowski Reception is open to the public on a first-come basis.
