as amended (FERPA)
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as
amended (FERPA), sets forth requirements regarding the
privacy of student records. FERPA governs release of records
maintained by an educational institution and access to those
records. The FERPA brochure is provided to help you better
understand the intent of FERPA and the rights of students
