The new Art Academy of Cincinnati building provides an opportunity to experience a strong sense of
community among the students, faculty, and staff. Life in the new building offers many new opportunities. The
Commons Area on the first floor allows students to congregate and share ideas over breakfast, lunch or
coffee. The student gallery gives students a chance to display their current work and discuss it informally with
their fellow students, while over 100 individual student studios provide students with their own personal
spaces in which to work.

Also new to the Art Academy is a quiet study room for students to use when they need to concentrate on their
academic coursework. A variety of activities have always kept the students busy with everything from visiting
artists’ lectures and information sessions to school trips, holiday parties, Art Academy soccer games and
many other special events. Overall, the new building continues to inspire students and allow for easier
interaction within the Art Academy community.
